Thank you for your interest in joining us for our 2025 Tokashiki Adventure Camp (TAC).  TAC is sponsored by Hija Belmont Church, located in Yomitan, Okinawa.  Hija Belmont Church, is a non-denominational church that was established 25 years ago.  It is a bi-lingual church that is open to any and all who desire to know more about our Lord Jesus Christ. 

This years camp is August 4-7 (Monday thru Thursday).   The purpose of our camp is to give children, 5-18,  a chance to learn about Jesus while enjoying games, crafts, swimming at the beach, and much more.  Our camp is open to both Japanese and English speaking children, and many of our staff speak both Japanese and English.

The camp will be held, of course, on the island of Tokashiki, which is located 40 kilometers southwest of the mainland of Okinawa.   It is a small but beautiful island with blue oceans, lots of mountains and sandy beaches.  We will be staying at Okinawa Prefectural Youth Fellowship House, or Seinen no Ie (国立沖縄青少年交流の家).

Seinen no Ie is a fully featured  government run retreat center, established primarily for hosting children’s and young adult’s many camping and retreat needs.  It has clean dormitories, a cafeteria with great food, a large gym, event halls, and lots of fields to play and run around in.  At night it also has an observatory  on top of a hill where  all visitors enjoy going to view the evening star-filled skies.    More information about the retreat center can be found online at:     https://okinawa.niye.go.jp/

Camp will begin on August 4th.  On the morning of the 4th you can bring your child either to Hija Belmont Church in Yomitan, or you can take your child directly to Naha Tomarin Port.  From there we will all meet up and take the Tokashiki Ferry to Tokashiki Island.  Once there we will be driven to the retreat center, which resides on top of a nearby  mountain.  Then we will enjoy four full days of fun and learning. 

Afterwards, we will return on August 7th to Naha Tomarin Port, where parents can pick up their children, or afterwards pick them up at Hija Belmont Church.   You can view the full details and times of departure and return on the camp schedule included in the Camp Information packet. 

There are emergency medical services available on the island as well as emergency airlift service should the need arise.  Camp will also be insured in case of accidents.   We will not be permitting game devices. Cell phone usage hours are limited for the children, however,  if you need, all staff will take  calls from parents who would like to speak with their child.   The numbers of staff will be provided to any parent requesting one.

2025年渡嘉敷アドベンチャーキャンプ（TAC）にご参加いただきありがとうございます。 TACは沖縄県読谷村にある比謝・ベルモント教会が主催しています。 比謝・ベルモント教会は、25年前に設立された超教派の教会です。 私たちの主イエス・キリストについてもっと知りたいと願うすべての人に開かれているバイリンガル教会です。

今年のキャンプは8月4日～7日（月～木）です。 キャンプの目的は、5歳から18歳までの子どもたちに、ゲームや工作、ビーチでの海水浴などを楽しみながら、イエス様について学ぶ機会を与えることです。 当キャンプは日本語と英語を話す子どもたちが対象で、スタッフの多くは日本語と英語の両方を話します。

キャンプは、沖縄本島の南西40キロに位置する渡嘉敷島で行われます。 小さな島ですが、青い海、たくさんの山、砂浜のある美しい島です。 宿泊先は国立沖縄青少年交流の家です。

青少年交流の家は政府が運営する研修施設で、主に子供や若者のキャンプや研修のニーズを満たすために設立されています。 清潔な宿泊施設、おいしい食事が楽しめるカフェテリア、大きな体育館、イベントホール、遊び回ったり走り回ったりできるたくさんのフィールドがあります。 夜には丘の上に展望台があり、訪れる人たちは皆、満天の星空を見に行くのを楽しみにしています。青少年交流の家について の詳細については、https://okinawa.niye.go.jp/

キャンプは8月4日から始まります。 4日の朝、読谷村の比謝・ベルモント教会にお子さんを連れて来ていただくか、直接那覇の泊港にお越しください。 そこで全員集合し、フェリーとかしきに乗って渡嘉敷島に向かいます。 そこから渡嘉敷フェリーで渡嘉敷島へ。近くの山の上にある研修施設まで車で移動します。 その後4日間、楽しみながら学ぶことになります。

8月7日に泊港へ戻り、そこで保護者の方にお子さんを迎えていただくか、あるいは、比謝ベルモント教会までお迎えに来ていただきます。

島内には緊急医療サービスがあり、万が一の場合には緊急空輸サービスもあります。 また、事故に備えてキャンプ保険に加入します。ゲーム機などの使用は禁止します。携帯電話の使用時間は制限がありますが、その時間帯以外で お子様と話をしたい場合は、スタッフが対応しますので、 ご希望の保護者の方には、スタッフの電話番号をお知らせします。
